Do unto others as you would have them do unto you...

Just something interesting that I've found.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" is a very tricky statement. I had a nice long talk to my youth leader about it a long long time ago and we deduced that it was NOT a biblical statement, because some of the arguments that I constructed based on that statement were definitely not biblical. We decided that it was rather a skewed variation of biblical truth. BUT! Then I found it in the Bible.

Matthew 7:12
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Honestly, I cannot remember what arguments I had eventually constructed, but I just remember my youth leader saying that I was probably basing my ideas off a secular "belief", if you like, that had been a biblical statement construed by society.

Some food for thought.

Anywhos. Long time no post, so here is my past few weeks in dot point form:
-did stuff
-got Ps (praise God, and on the way home from my test, mambo number 5 was on the radio... how fitting)
-is now somewhat broke

YAY. Life is good. =)

I don't think it has sunk in that I'm moving to Sydney. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing... Oh well, I'll figure it out when I get there.

Things I gotta do:
-catch up with peeps before I leave
-clean room
-buy shit
-pack shit
-go swim
-love life (not that I'm not...just a reminder to do so)

I really don't think I should be getting into any games at the mo, but I'm installing Dragon Age: Origins on my computer now. Hehe.

PS. As a side note... last night was my night of awkward misunderstandings.... Here is an example... there was another one, but that was WAYYYY too awkward to write here. xD

[On the topic of the legality of incest, after pumping up the car at the petrol station]
Friend: So how does that affect you?
Me: WHAT?! I HAVE TWO BROTHERS. WTFSDKALGRLKERG?!?
Friend: o_o I was talking about the petrol... but your brothers ey?

(Before that we were also talking about how my family writes down the odometer reading every time we pump)

I think I should really be sleeping more, then maybe I won't make things so awkward by not understanding people.
