Yay! I'm in Sydney!
Day 1! Whooot.
Well, nothing really happened. Arrived at around 7:10 and picked up my bags and took a cab to my family friends house. Got to their place with guests over for dinner, so I had dinner and goodies for dessert and got to listen to good chats.
The cab ride was actually quite interesting. I find when placed in situations which can get awkward very easily, it's also easier to make it not awkward. If that made any sense at all. Because I managed to have a really good chat with the driver as well, about Sydney, iPhones, driving a cab, GPSs, student accomodation and stuff. Haha.
Dinner convo was even more interesting! One guy was a priest or something from my aunty's church and he used to be a prison chaplain. He was telling us all these stories and it was really cool to hear. I have quite a vivid image of the night before a hanging spent with the inmate... The guy had funny stories to tell and I was rather amused. =)
Well, I'm sleeping in tomorrow, so I don't really have to sleep early, but I'm really drained, so I'ma sleep soon. It is already 1:30...
Hope you all are settling in your places or getting ready for uni back in Melbourne. =)

It's fantastic to hear that everything's interesting and good there. That's the most important thing :) Travelling changes you and meeting new people and hearing their stories changes your perception of things. It's a great thing!!
(I read a book where this guy traveled to Queensland and collected people's stories. It was insightful)
Anywho, I will always be on here checking your updates! Have funnn!
